Handcrafted in Rockport since 2009

Carpentry built by hand, on the coast of Cape Ann.

Pete Zanconato and a small crew of local craftsmen build custom kitchens, decks, built-ins, and restore historic homes across the North Shore. No subcontracted shortcuts. No factory cabinets. Just careful work, done in our shop on Eden Road.

What we do

Six things we do well, and nothing we don't.

We stay in our lane. After fifteen years of building on Cape Ann, these are the projects where our shop, our crew, and our suppliers really shine.

Custom Kitchens

Cabinets built in our shop, fit to your walls — not a flat-pack box pretending to be cabinetry.

Built-in Cabinetry

Window seats, libraries, mudrooms, and bars that look like they've always belonged there.

Decks & Outdoor Living

Cedar, mahogany, and Ipe decks framed to last through Cape Ann winters and nor'easters.

Trim & Millwork

Crown, wainscot, casing, and stair parts milled and installed to historic standards.

Historic Restoration

Sympathetic repairs to 18th–20th century homes from Bearskin Neck to Eastern Point.

Custom Furniture

One-off tables, benches, and built-in beds in domestic hardwoods. Often from reclaimed stock.

How we work

From first walk-through to final punch list.

Consultation

We come to your home, walk through the project, and listen.

Design

Sketches, finish samples, and a written scope you actually understand.

Sourcing

We pick lumber from local mills — Downes & Reader, Anderson & McQuaid.

Build

Most of the work happens in our Eden Road shop. Less mess in your house.

Walk-through

We don't leave until you've signed off and the punch list is empty.

Kind words

What our neighbors have said.

Pete rebuilt the kitchen in our 1923 shingle-style and made it look like it had always been there. He's the rare contractor who calls back, shows up, and finishes.

Margaret & Tom HaleSouth Street, Rockport

Three quotes, three contractors. Pete was the only one who actually walked the deck framing with me before pricing it. The work matched the conversation.

David RussoPigeon Cove

We had Zanconato build out our reading room in Annisquam. The built-ins have wood movement gaps you can't even see — that's the level of care.
